I will be there July 1st to October 31st, 2008. A chance of a lifetime for this Artist. I hope to explore while working on my project and new body of work, as much of the textile culture and history in the immediate area as well as expand my trip to the mid-December and take in some short-term courses and workshops. I would like to expand particularly on my knowledge of Curatorial Practices pertaining to Contmeporary Textile Art. If I can get there by train or bus in a few hours for day trips during my residency, that would be ideal. I would really love to make it to the UK as well as Belgium and Germany. But I am really open. If anyone has some suggestions on must visit locations, or courses or would perhaps be interested in networking with me via email now and perhaps meet while I am in Europe, I would be most greatful.
